Hey, This Site Stinks!
Absolutely. And I can't tell you how sorry I am. It used to be cool...or at least information-packed. But (lots of) time went by, and since on the Internet, six months is ten years (y'know, I was saying that before anyone else. Really.) it's all out of date. So I've dumped all the old information.
But that's not all that's been dumped. From 1994 through 2001, this site was found at westernstar.com. Nowadays, that's the site of a huge company that owns a big company that owns a large company that makes trucks. And we've turned into taoproductions.com. Stay tuned for the backstory on the genesis of Tao Productions, and who those folks at the top of the page really are.
So, what's here? Well, there's a pointer or three to WooferCam, my beloved dog's own Webcam. And you can check out the site I did celebrating my not-to-recent-anymore 40th birthday.

Western Star Internet Consulting
Once upon a time, there was a little company called Western Star Consulting. When we wanted to focus on the Net, we stuck the "Internet" part in there. We provided advice, planning, and implementation services to companies who need help with Internet strategy, connectivity, and Web marketing. That was before I succumbed to the lure of a regular paycheck and took a job as director of product management at a software startup...since become a software meltdown.

Talks and Links
One of the things I used to do a *lot* was talk.
Many times, that talking happened in front of groups
of people, and I prepared slides and Web links to accompany the
sound of my voice droning on and on.
Those slides and links used to be here, in case folks didn't get
everything written down clearly at the talk. Some of those slides were self-explanatory; others
made you wish you'd heard me speak,
which, of course, was the whole point.
